Oak Meadow school and their acorn charms and a photo of Tarra Rosenbaum as a child at the beach

The Acorn Ceremony

Behold the golden acorn!

The "Acorn" tradition at Oak Meadow which I attended nearly 35 years ago just melts my heart.

"These acorns were made by Tarra Rosenbaum, one of Oak Meadow's first students. When co-founder Lawrence Williams had Tarra as a first grader, he had no idea she would become a successful and celebrated jewelry artist in Manhattan who draws her inspiration from nature. There was simply no way to know."

The Oak Meadow and Waldorf schools were a foundation of my formative years. It is so nice to be enfolded into the future traditions of Oak Meadow School and an honor.
