Silver Unicorn

Unicorns are an enduring feature in folklore, mythology and legend across europe and into the Middle East. They are traditionally depicted as white with a mother of pearl horn and are symbolic of purity, often featuring in mythology as the protectors of virgins. 

Paris’s Musee Cluny holds a collection of lavish tapestries of a unicorn flanking a beautiful young woman in a flower filled forest. The figure of a unicorn has also been readapted to the 21st century, becoming a symbol of acceptance. The image of a unicorn now represents and celebrates that ‘it is ok to be different’.
