Making sure this time it doesn't slip through his fingers.
The Dream
It all began with a sentimental 19th century pansy ring that slipped through a client's fingers at a Bonhams auction.
The Expression
The word 'pansy' is derived from the French word "pansee" meaning "thought". This lovely flower is therefore a symbol of remembrance. When a pansy and the words "A Moi" are joined together, they read "pensez a moi" or "think of me". This ring is thus a love token encouraging the wearer to think of her beloved.
The Creation
The delicate work of bringing this ring to life began with a touch of meaning and a lot of love. The unbroken twist around the face symbolizes the intertwining of two lives, while the specially-designed letters add a personal touch. The vitreous enamel imparts each petal with a subtle ombre effect.
QUOTE
"This is just what I was hoping for - you read into my first e-mail perfectly. You really got a sense of the slightly upgraded version I was hoping for of the ring I saw at auction."
